Lady of Guadalupe Celebration
The Archdiocese of Louisville???s Office of Multicultural Ministry will observe the feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe offering two celebrations this year. The schedule is as follows:
Sunday, December 12, 2016: Mass 5:00 a.m.
Location: Church of the Epiphany - 917 Old Harrods Creek Road, Louisville, KY 40223
Sunday, December 12, 2016: Mass 7:00 p.m.
Location: Our Lady of Mercy - 208 Walters Avenue, Hodgenville, KY 42748
Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, D.D. will be the celebrant of the Holy Mass at both locations. Our Lady of Guadalupe, also known as the Virgin of Guadalupe (Virgen de Guadalupe) and the patron of the Americas, is a 16th century apparition of the Virgin Mary which appeared to Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin on the hill of Tepeyac near Mexico City from December 9 through December 12, 1531.
